founded in 1993 with a clear mission: to provide an educational, interesting, useful tool
to help hotel managers and employees improve the hotels profit and give consistent,

About TRC authors
The credit for the success of The Rooms Chronicle
must go to the authors of the articles. It has been a goal of the TRC staff to use
managers who are currently working in the field as authors or contributors to the content

| About our founder
“How complicated can it be?” she asked. “I have a little knowledge, I
know a lot of smart people, I own a computer, and I used to be an editor at my college newspaper. Let’s
give it a try.” And so Aleta A. Nitschke, CHA, founded The Rooms Chronicle. MORE

About the pineapple
The pineapple has a long tradition as the symbol
of hospitality. The story is told that early sailors brought
pineapples home from the islands as a treasured gift for family.
We can only imagine the dangerous trips to exotic, far-away
